‘Finding Futures in Uncertainties’ Conference in Hong Kong

‘Finding Futures in Uncertainties’ is theme of the 6th International Postgraduate Conference of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which will be held on 22-24 September 2016 in Hong Kong.


The 6th International Postgraduate Conference organised by the Department of the Applied Social Sciences of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which will be held in Hong Kong, the city considered as the heart of Asia. This year’s theme of our annual event is Finding Futures in Uncertainties.


This conference aims to bring together both local and international postgraduate students and other researchers of various disciplines to examine the current uncertainties while simultaneously sharing new and emerging ideas and visions for future social development in a multi-disciplinary research perspective that incorporates Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Political Sciences, Policy Studies, Gender Studies, Social Work, Psychology, Philosophy, Communication and Health Sciences.



Abstracts in English in Word format (max. 500 words) should be submitted before 15 June 2016 to the following email e-mail address:  apsspgc@polyu.edu.hk

The notification to selected participants will be send on 10 July 2016.



For those participants who are interested in having their work published in the post-conference booklet, please note that the deadline for paper submission is 1 September 2016. Full papers should be submitted in Word format and should be between 5000 – 7000 words (excluding the reference part).
